A LOW level Halesowen drug dealer, who was pocketing £250 a week, sobbed in the dock before being jailed for 27 months.

Ian Nock, who had a bail address in Cross Street, was found to have 16 wraps of heroin and crack cocaine on him when he was stopped in the street and frisked by police.

A search of his home revealed it had been used to prepare the wraps for sale to members of the public.

Judge Martin Walsh told the 29-year-old he had played a significant role in the illegal drug enterprise for financial gain - even though it had been low level dealing.

He said drugs destroyed the lives of people who were addicted to drugs and whole communities were badly damaged.

“People who deal in these drugs must expect to go to prison, he added at Wolverhampton Crown Court.

Nock, described as an unsophisticated criminal, admitted possessing heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.

Simon Hanns, defending, said pressure had been put on him by others to sell the drugs.
