FLORISTS from a Kingswinford supermarket is today (Thursday, August 25) leaving colourful summer posies in locations across the area for people to pick up and take home.
After a spell of changeable summer holiday weather, the Morrisons’ florists are hoping that the jolly posies will help brighten up Kingswinford’s bank holiday weekend.
The posies, made from multi-coloured Germini – which look like big, brightly coloured summer daisies - are being placed in locations such as parks, bus stops and shopping areas for passers-by to pick up.
Robert Evans, store manager, said: “Our florists know how changeable the weather has been this summer and wanted to cheer everyone up.
“We hope that people who find these brightly-coloured posies across Kingswinford will pick them up, take them home, and enjoy having their little splash of warming colour in their house.”
Across the country Morrisons makes 22 million bouquets a year using nearly 250 million stems at its very own ‘Flower World’ site, employing more than 260 fully trained florists.
