FOSTER carers were joined by the Mayor of Dudley for a Christmas celebration to acknowledge the hard work they do for children’s services throughout the year.

The event took place at Brierley Hill Civic Hall yesterday (Wednesday) and gave foster carers the chance to informally meet each other and the fostering team at Dudley Council.

The team thanked thefoster carers for their continued support, the valuable work that they do and recognised their commitment to children in care.

The Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Mohammad Hanif, personally thanked foster carers for their ongoing support and said: “The work that our foster carers do for our children in care is invaluable.

"Their ongoing support and commitment is making a real difference to the lives of children from Dudley borough.”
