WALL Heath artists are once again gearing up for their annual art exhibition.

Members of Wall Heath Art Club will be displaying their work in the scout hut at the back of Wall Heath Community Centre, Enville Road, Wall Heath, on Saturday April 8 and Sunday April 9.

The event is usually held in the autumn but had to be postponed due to illness.

Tutor Malcolm Wesson, however, said members "are back to full strength now and raring to go" to put on their sixth annual show.

He added: "We are anticipating having in excess of 100 original paintings on show with almost all being painted in watercolour. Paintings will be mounted or framed and most will be for sale at the usual keen prices."

Mr Wesson will be showing off his watercolour painting talents during the exhibition which will have a 'best in show' feature, voted for by the public, and which will also include a raffle of one of Mr Wesson's original watercolours and a display of work from one of the group's workshops.

Tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits will be available during the event which runs from 10am to 4pm on both days.

Admission is free.
