ELECTION day is just around the corner - with the polls opening for the Dudley Metropolitan elections on Thursday, May 3.

After months of campaigning from Halesowen candidates, thousands of voters are expected to turn out across the town to have their say on who will represent them on the borough council.

In Belle Vale, Ian Cooper is standing for the Labour Party, Jack Cooper for the Conservatives, and Bill McComish from the Green Party.

Voters in Cradley and Wollescote have a choice between Pam Archer for the Green Party, UKIP's Mitchell Bolton, Tim Crumpton from the Labour Party and Conservative candidate Kamran Razzaq.

In Halesowen North division, Lois Bramall is representing the Liberal Democrats, while Stuart Henley is standing for UKIP, Joe Roberts for the Tory Party, and Parmjit Sahota for Labour.

Three candidates are vying for votes in Halesowen South - Conservative Ray Burston, Lib Dem Derek Campbell and Labour's James Walker.

For Hayley Green and Cradley South, Tory Andrea Goddard is competing with UKIP's Delesh Patel, John Payne for the Green Party, and Labour candidate Donella Russell.

In Quarry Bank and Dudley Wood, Labour's Chris Barnett is up against Christopher Blake for the Conservative Party, Lee Taylor for the Lib Dems and Angela Walker for UKIP.
