UKIP will give power back to local residents via a local binding referendum with no right of appeal to the developer. power to the people not the planners & developers"

Wollaston homes plan approved

AN outline plan to build 150 new homes on a Wollaston factory site has been given the go-ahead.

Dudley’s development control committee gave unanimous approval on Tuesday to plans by Revelan Group PLC to build the new development on the Sunrise Business Park site off Wollaston High Street - which was home to Caparo Aluminium Technologies until March 2011.

Wollaston councillor Nick Barlow said: “It will enhance Stourbridge and will be good for the community.”

Amblecote councillor Colin Banks added: “This site has been a thorn in our side for a great many years.

“I can’t see this site is viable for industry any more so to have a housing development on there is a good thing.”
