A New Service For The Wyre Forest!
In January 2014 a brand new service was launched in four Wyre Forest Medical Centres. This is a joint initiative by Wyre Forest CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) and Wyre Forest District Council.
The confidential service provides help for Wyre Forest citizens to access information for specialist advice, local activities and support groups. The new service addresses the needs of the person by directing them to other agencies and community activities that can help them with such issues as housing, debt, social care, loneliness and isolation.
The service is run by volunteers or buddies who are trained to be responsive to the evolving holistic needs of the person and committed to building a trusting relationship with them.
If you feel you would benefit from the Health and Wellbeing Service please telephone your local GP surgery and ask the receptionist to make you an appointment.
The development worker for this service Katrina Willetts is based at the Wyre Forest Citizens Advice Bureau Tel: 0156260194
