ONE of the country’s largest suppliers of commercial vehicle spare parts has opened a base in Kingswinford.

Diesel Technic UK & Ireland Ltd, a subsidiary of German-based Diesel Technic, has agreed a ten-year lease at the 10,419 sq ft unit on The Pensnett Estate.

Bosses hope the new base will create sales and customer service jobs in the local area, but has not yet put a number on the number of roles that are likely to be made available.

Andrew Preston, industrial portfolio manager of London & Cambridge Properties, owners of The Pensnett Estate, said: “We worked closely with Diesel Technic UK & Ireland to provide a site that met the company’s needs.

“The Pensnett Estate offers a range of benefits to companies with complex logistical needs, such as 24-hour security and we were delighted to welcome another global name to our list of tenants.”

Richard Popplewell, general manager of Diesel Technic UK & Ireland, said: “The new subsidiary will offer them a competent aftermarket full-service.

“Distribution partners will benefit from a reliable supply, optimal product availability and fast delivery times.

“The customer service will support the distribution partners in all matters relating to the brand DT Spare Parts and the logistics team will take care of the smooth supply chain and the reliable supply of spare parts.”
