A PRESTIGIOUS legal awards ceremony has awarded its ‘Office Manager of the Year’ title to Brierley Hill woman Aimee Williams.

Aimee, who works for Thursfields Solicitors, picked up the Worcestershire Law Society’s Legal Awards 2017 gong.

Judged said Aimee’s “hard work, attention to detail and tenacity” clinched her the trophy in the ‘Best Support Staff’ category.

Aimee said: “It was lovely to be nominated and I was very surprised to win. But it was a great evening and really exciting to pick up the trophy.”

She is currently Thursfields’ internal operations manager based at the law firm’s Kidderminster office, from where she co-ordinates the activities of 140 staff based at sites throughout Worcestershire, the Black Country and Birmingham.

Nick O’Hara, managing director, said: “We’re really pleased that Aimee’s won this award, and so pleased at the judges’ comments.

“It’s fully deserved for all Aimee’s hard work in the background, which is typical of the teamwork ethos we have at Thursfields.”

Aimee joined Thursfields eight years ago and has seen her role expand rapidly with the growth of the firm.

Priya Tromans, president of Worcestershire Law Society and one of the judges for the awards, said: “We thought Aimee’s ability to manage a large number of offices as well as the additional HR work she does was commendable.

“She appeared to be genuinely approachable and passionate about the growth of the firm.

“The judges thought her modesty was admirable but she was thoroughly deserving of recognition for her hard work combined with her attention to detail and tenacity.”
