A specialist provider of heavy-duty vehicle lifting solutions has announced it is on course for a record-breaking year.

TotalKare, which celebrated its 35th anniversary last year, has secured a number of new contracts with multi-national operators and independent workshops that will see it pass £8m sales for the first time.

The £400,000 annual boost comes at a perfect time, with the Halesowen-based firm set to showcase its Two Post Lift – the latest in its market-leading portfolio - to delegates attending the Commercial Vehicle Show from today until April 26.

Suitable for vehicles with long wheel bases such as Mercedes-Benz Spring, Volkswagen Crafter and the new Iveco Daily Van, the hydraulic lift has a 5,500kg lifting capacity and can be operated from either side.

Visitors to the stand (4E60) will also be able to see TotalKare’s popular T8DC cable-free lifts lifting a Volvo FH tractor unit.

James Radford, Sales and Marketing Director at TotalKare said: “We’ve had a really strong start to 2018, with our ability to offer a host of high-quality, heavy duty workshops solutions, along with mobile options, proving very popular.

“This has seen us extend contracts with local authorities and pick up new orders with truck, trailer and logistics companies, not to mention more of our existing customers taking advantage of our servicing and maintenance packages.”

He added: “Passing £8m will be a big milestone for us and one that has seen us increase the workforce by 10 per cent to 46 staff. There’s also plans in place to take on another three engineers between now and the end of the year.

“The Commercial Vehicle Show is one of our biggest events of the year and gives us the chance to meet contacts in a sector of the economy that accounts for 40 per cent of our turnover.”

‘AfterKare’ solutions will also be on the agenda next week, with TotalKare keen to unveil its latest service packages, Report of Thorough Examinations and the addition of online mobile vehicle lift competency training.

The latter features video tutorials, walk-through instructional guides and multiple-choice test questions across several different learning modules. This enables in-house management and reporting of delegate progress.

James said: “As the UK’s number one supplier of mobile column lifts, we believe our ever-expanding product range, service packages and finance options offer the best total solution available in the marketplace.

“It’s not just about selling the most products though. We want to educate workers and employers in the sector to make it a safe and a great place to work. That’s the TotalKare difference.”
