Cider boxed up by Alcester producer

ALCESTER-based Hogan’s Cider has extended its product range by introducing a bag-in-box cider.

Despite the challenging economic climate, investment at Hogan’s has continued, with state-of-the-art technology from Austria being added to its facility to allow on-site production.

Allen Hogan, cider-maker, said: “The bags are from France, the filling technology is from Austria and the cider - that’s from the Three Counties.”

Sarah Edmunds, marketing manager for Hogan’s Cider said: “The downturn in the economy has meant that people have less disposable income so when they go out it’s a real treat and they demand greater quality and choice.

“The introduction of our bag-in-box range goes some way to satisfying these demands.”

Mr Hogan said: “We have had a fantastic year so far, winning the Great Lakes International Cider and Perry Competition with our medium bottled cider and then winning a double first for our medium and dry bottled cider at the Royal Bath and West Show.”
