A WITNESS appeal has gone out following a suspected arson attack in the early hours of Saturday morning (May 10) at Stourbridge bar, Que Pasa.

The incident, which left a man with serious burns, happened at around 2.15am.

Police say a man thought to be in his late 20s or 30s threw an accelerant, believed to be petrol, into the entrance of the High Street bar.

The attack left a customer in his mid 20s with burns to his arms and legs.

He was treated at the scene by ambulance workers before being taken to Russells Hall Hospital, Dudley.

He suffered 20 per cent burns - but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

No-one else was injured in the incident.

Police say the offender was a white, bald man, of medium build, five feet eight to five feet ten, wearing a dark jacket and a white T-shirt underneath.

They are urging witnesses to contact Stourbridge CID on 0845 113 5000 or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
