Protest for dog law changes
DOG lovers took to Dudley town centre for a peaceful protest as they call for a change in the Dangerous Dogs Act.
The Midlands branch of ‘End Breed Specific Legislation’ are urging the government to change the legislation to allow all breeds of dog to be treated fairly.
Group founder, Dawn Burns from Dudley, who owns a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, said: “We do not believe that any specific breed should be targeted. No breed is born dangerous and dog owners should be made more responsible for their dog’s actions.”
The group have already held protests in Wolverhampton and Birmingham and have collected over 600 signatures on a petition, which they intend to deliver to 10 Downing Street.
