THE Black Country Living Museum is inviting visitors to leave behind the seasonal stresses during its Traditional Christmas Evening.

The popular event which sees the iconic village lit by candlelight, will feature choirs, street organs and a brass band, to transport visitors back to an early 1900s Christmas.

While tempting treats of the past will include hot roast chestnuts, old-fashioned fish and chops and real ale and mulled wine.

There will also be an opportunity to pick up last-minute gifts and stocking fillers from a variety of traditional craft stalls, including fine preserves, handmade items, fudge, cupcakes, wine, candles, sweets and jewellery.

And for the younger visitors, Father Christmas will be stopping off in the village to pick up final present lists and Fizzog Productions will be performing their festive panto offering – Kippin’ Beauty.

The event takes place tonight (Friday) and tomorrow and run next week on Thursday 20, Friday 21 and Saturday 22, from 6.30pm until 10pm.

Tickets are pre-book only and are available from the booking office on 0121 520 -8054 or online at bclm.com
