THE Mayor of Dudley hopes to get people into the Christmas spirit at his traditional civic carol service tonight (Thursday December 20).
Dudley Council has organised the annual civic carol service which will be held at ChristChurch, Coseley, from 7.30pm.
Mayor, Councillor Melvyn Mottram, will be at the service which will include performances by Dudley Young Voices, VTime and In Sound Company choirs - while the service will be led by Reverend Heather Humphrey.
Councillor Melvyn Mottram, Mayor of Dudley, said: “We always get a good number of people helping us celebrate Christmas at the traditional Civic Carol Services, and I hope to see more this year.
“What better way to start Christmas than with a few carols.”
Refreshments will be served at Christ Church C of E Primary School hall, following the service.
