A 43-YEAR-OLD Dudley man has been ordered to pay compensation to a town foundry for damaging a window.

Appearing at Dudley Magistrates Court on December 17, Andrew Askins, of Wolverhampton Street was jailed for four weeks concurrent suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £100 compensation for damaging a window at Ingram Foundry Industries in Hope Street.

The defendant was also jailed for 12 weeks suspended for 12 months, as well as being ordered to pay £200 compensation, for attempting to trespass into a Netherton home with intent to steal.

He was also jailed for four weeks suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £94.80 compensation and £80 costs, for damaging a police cell.

Also in court on December 17:

Andrew Gerard Hawkins, aged 39, of Darby End Road, Netherton, was fined £36 and ordered to pay £20 costs and £80 court costs, for driving a vehicle he was not licensed to drive.

The defendant was also fined £110 and handed seven licence penalty points, for driving without insurance.

He was also fined £36 for driving without a valid test certificate.

Islam Khalid, aged 27, of Oak Road, Dudley, was fined £200 and ordered to pay £20 costs and £85 court costs, as well as being handed three licence penalty points, for driving while using a mobile telephone.

In court on December 18:

Wayne Ault, aged 34, of Green Park Road, Dudley, was fined £600 and ordered to pay £60 costs and £85 court costs, as well as being disqualified from driving for 12 months, for driving without insurance.

The defendant was also fined £135 for driving a vehicle he was not licensed to drive.

Jamie Smith, aged 38, of Madison Avenue, Brierley Hill, was fined £265 and ordered to pay £26 costs and £85 court costs, for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.

In court on December 19:

Muhammed Adnan Khan, aged 25, of St Georges Road, Dudley, was fined £110 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £85 court costs, as well as being handed six licence penalty points, for driving without insurance.

The defendant was also fined £110 for failing to stop after an accident.

In court on December 21:

David Robert McCreight, aged 41, of Leafy Rise, Lower Gornal, was handed a 12-month community order and ordered to pay £85 court costs, as well as being disqualified from driving for two years, for driving while over the legal alcohol limit.

John William Short, aged 32, of Redwood Avenue, Dudley, was fined £220 and disqualified from driving for 12 months, for driving while over the legal alcohol limit.

The defendant was also fined £220 for driving without insurance.

He was also fined £75 and ordered to pay £22 costs and £85 court costs, for wilfully obstructing a police officer.
