Face the heat in aid of poorly pets
3:00pm Friday 18th January 2013 in Local
COURAGEOUS animal lovers are being encouraged to face the heat and help raise money for poorly pets.
The Village Hotel in Dudley is hosting the PDSA Firewalk Challenge on Saturday March 9 at 6pm, in a bid to raise funds towards the charity’s new £2 million Pet Aid Hospital in Quinton and replace its current outdated facilities.
Sarah Johnson, PDSA’s Community and Events Fundraiser, said: “Our firewalk promises to be a scorcher of an evening. We’re looking for daring people to take on this unusual challenge for a very worthy cause.”
Full training and a motivational talk will be provided on the night to make sure participants don’t get cold feet. Participants, who must be at least 16 years-old, are asked to raise at least £100 and a £10 registration fee is payable on the day.
To book a place, visit pdsa.org.uk/fundraising or call freephone 0800 508 8323.
