Woman, 51, jailed for theft from shop

A 51 YEAR-old Dudley woman has been jailed for stealing groceries from Waitrose.

Appearing at Dudley Magistrates Court on January 11, Angela Lynne EDWARDS, of Osprey Drive, was jailed for two weeks consecutive, for stealing pork chops, a leg of lamb, a bottle of port, and a bottle of tia maria, to the value of £37.48, from Waitrose.


The defendant was also jailed for two weeks consecutive, for stealing vegetables and a cake , to the value of £16.24, from Waitrose.

Also in court on January 11:

Richard John Whittaker, aged 29, of Commonside, Pensnett, was fined £36 for driving a vehicle he was not licensed to drive.
The defendant was also fined £110 and ordered to pay £20 costs and £85 court costs, as well as being handed six licence penalty points, for driving without insurance.
He was also fined £36 for driving without a valid test certificate.


In court on January 7:

Malcolm Green, aged 51, of Sterling Road, Netherton, was fined £300 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £85 costs, as well as being handed six licence penalty points, for driving without insurance.

Ghulam Hussain, aged 32, of Blowers Green Crescent, Dudley, was fined £220 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £500 court costs, as well as being handed four licence penalty points, for driving without due care and attention.

Ian Brett Wise, aged 49, of Thistlegreen Road, Netherton, was fined £50 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £85 court costs, for assault.

Raqab Khan, aged 24, of Buffery Road, Dudley, was fined £400 and ordered to pay £40 costs and £80 costs, as well as being handed six licence penalty points, for driving without insurance.

Adam Kyre Maurice Williams, aged 19, of Rookery Park, Pensnett, was fined £135 and ordered to pay £33 costs and £85 court costs, for taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent.
The defendant was also fined £200 and handed six licence penalty points, for driving without insurance.

In court on January 8:

Brett Alexander Littler, aged 27, of Eaton Crescent, Dudley, was fined £110 and ordered to pay £20 costs and £85 court costs, for possessing cocaine.

Lisa Jane Perry, aged 35, of Bluebell Road, Dudley, was handed a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £50 compensation, £15 costs and £85 court costs, for assaulting a police officer.

Michael John Fisher, aged 23, of Lodge Crescent, Netherton, was fined £180 and ordered to pay £50 compensation and £165 court costs, for dishonestly undertaking or assisting in the retention, removal or disposal of a stolen Vauxhall Corsa.

Shane Fisher, aged 33, of Lodge Crescent, Netherton, was fined £110 and ordered to pay £50 compensation, £15 costs and £165 court costs, for dishonestly undertaking or assisting in the retention, removal or disposal of a stolen Vauxhall Corsa.

Sonny Anthony Gillard, aged 19, of Lodge Crescent, Netherton, was fined £100 and ordered to pay £50 compensation, £15 costs and £165 court costs, for dishonestly undertaking or assisting in the retention, removal or disposal of a stolen Vauxhall Corsa.

Vladimir Gombik, aged 35, of Grove Street, Dudley, was fined £110 and ordered to pay £20 costs and £80 court costs, as well as being handed six licence penalty points, for driving without insurance.

Iain Rea Charlton, aged 23, of Townsend Avenue, Sedgley, was fined £110 and ordered to pay £300 compensation and £180 compensation, £20 costs and £85 court costs, as well as being handed seven licence penalty points, for failing to stop after an accident.

Kevin Davies, aged 48, of Highland Road, Dudley, was fined £450 and ordered to pay £45 costs and £85 court costs, as well as being disqualified from driving for 20 months, for driving while over the legal alcohol limit.

In court on January 10:

Lana Cherrington, aged 25, of Occupation Street, Dudley, was fined £500 and ordered to pay £108 compensation, £15 costs and £190 costs, for failing to comply with a noticed served for her to remove all controlled waste within 21 days.

Lindsey M Forsyth, aged 27, of Hill Street, Netherton, was fined £500 and ordered to pay £180 compensation, £15 costs and £290 costs, for failing to comply with a noticed served for her to remove all controlled waste within 21 days.

Anne Richards, aged 58, of Summer Road, Dudley, was handed a 12 month community order, for dishonestly making a statement to claim council tax.

Melverton Walker, aged 55, of Junction Street, Dudley, was fined £500 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £290 costs, for dishonestly making a statement to claim council tax.
