Trees axe land £4k court cost

A 45 YEAR-old Dudley man has been ordered to pay £3,015 by Dudley Magistrates for ordering two protected trees to be cut down at a former Amblecote doctor’s surgery.
Appearing in court on January 22, Antonio Andreas, of Middlepark Road, was fined £1,000 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £1,000 costs, for contravening a tree preservation order and giving his consent to allow a lime tree to be cut down and wilfully destroyed at Audnam Lodge, Amblecote.
The defendant was also fined £1,000 for contravening a tree preservation order and giving his consent to allow a further lime tree to be cut down and wilfully destroyed at Audnam Lodge, Amblecote.
Also in court on January 22:
John Paul Debattista, aged 25, of Boundary Hill, Dudley, was fined £250 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £250 costs, for contravening a tree preservation order and cutting down, uprooting or wilfully destroying a tree.
The defendant was also fined £250 for contravening a tree preservation order and cutting down, uprooting or wilfully destroying a second tree.
David Paul Elespe, aged 31, of Hallchurch Road, Dudley, was handed an 18 month community order and ordered to pay £85 court costs, for stealing two DVD box sets, worth £49.98, from WH Smith.
The defendant was also handed an 18 month community order for dishonestly undertaking or assisting in the retention, removal or disposal of stolen goods.
Alistair Raymond Foster, aged 23, of Copse Road, Netherton, was handed a 12 month conditional discharge and a restraining order, as well as being ordered to pay £15 costs and £100 court costs, for using threatening,abusive or insulting words or behaviour.
Dean James Madelin, aged 27, of Masefield Avenue, Dudley, was fined £450 and ordered to pay £45 costs and £80 court costs, as well as being disqualified from driving for six months, for driving without insurance.
In court on January 21:
Adrian Mark Porter, aged 52, of Pale Street, Upper Gornal, was fined £25 for possessing cannabis.
The defendant was also fined £75 and ordered to pay £20 costs and £85 court costs, for assaulting a police officer.
Martin John Bill, aged 38, of St Peters Road, Netherton, was fined £30 and ordered to pay £20 costs and £40 court costs, for possessing cannabis.
In court on January 23:
Janet Rollinson, aged 49, of Wolverhampton Street, Dudley, was jailed for six weeks, for stealing a child’s bed, worth £59.99 from B&M.
The defendant was also jailed for eight weeks concurrent, for breaching an anti-social behaviour order which prevented her from entering B&M in Dudley.
She was also jailed for eight weeks consecutive, for stealing a £829.99 laptop from Currys.
Katie Jane Holloway, aged 27, of Kent Street, Upper Gornal, was handed a 12 month community order and ordered to pay £60 costs, for stealing baby items and chocolate, worth £56.33 from Asda.
In court on January 24:
Petra Hall, aged 38, of Meadow Road, Dudley, was handed a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £15 costs and £85 court costs, for failing to notify the Department for Work and Pensions about a change in circumstance in regard to Income Support.
The defendant was also handed a 12 month conditional discharge for failing to notify Dudley Council about a change in circumstance in regard to council tax benefit.
She was also handed a 12 month conditional discharge for failing to notify Dudley Council about a change in circumstance in regard to housing benefit.
The defendant was also handed a 12 month conditional discharge for failing to notify Dudley Council about a change in circumstance in regard to housing benefit.
Victor Augustus Spair, aged 48, of Paradise, Dudley, was handed an 18 month community order and ordered to pay £85 court costs, for causing £100 damage to a door.
The defendant was also handed an 18 month community order for resisting an officer.
In court on January 25:
Maurice Hughes, aged 59, of Corbyn Road, Dudley, was handed a six month conditional discharge, as well as being ordered to pay £15 and £85 court costs, for breaching an anti social behaviour order, preventing him from visiting an address in Milking Bank.
Kevin John Lewis, aged 47, of Wolverhampton Road, Sedgley, was handed a community order and ordered to pay £60 costs and £85 court costs, for producing cannabis.
