A DUDLEY woman has been handed 10 community orders by Dudley Magistrates Court for providing false information to obtain council tax and housing benefit.
Appearing in court on January 28, Denise Lomas, of Maple Road, was handed the 12 month community orders for giving false information to Dudley Council regarding her husband’s pension to obtain the benefits between 2004 - 2007.

Also in court on January 28:

Aivars Kozloviskis, aged 31, of Vicarage Prospect, Dudley, was jailed for 12 weeks consecutive to a suspended sentence activation, for stealing six bottles of perfume, worth £252, from Debenhams.

Richard Perks, aged 25, of Beacon Rise, Sedgley, was fined £320 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £80 costs, as well as being handed six licence penalty points, for driving without insurance.

In court on January 30:

Andrew Paul Hodgkiss, aged 26, of Kennedy Crescent, Lower Gornal, was jailed for six months suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £34.20 compensation, £80 costs and £85 court costs, for stealing washing liquid tabs and capsules.
The defendant was also jailed for six months concurrent suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £42.22 compensation, for stealing chocolate from Spar.
He was also jailed for six months concurrent suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £30 compensation, for stealing Cadbury’s biscuits from Tesco Express.
The defendant was also jailed for six months concurrent suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £40 compensation, for stealing chocolates from Tesco Express.
He was also jailed for six months suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £50 compensation, for stealing fresh meat from Sainsburys.

Emma Louise Bradley, aged 28, of Cambridge Road, Holly Hall, was handed a 12 month community order and ordered to pay £75 compensation and £250 court costs, for assault.

Paul Dean, aged 41, of Cochrane Road, Dudley, was handed a 12 month community order and ordered to pay £250 court costs, for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.
The defendant was also handed a 12 month community order for resisting a police officer.

Christopher Robert Handley, aged 43, of Wolverhampton Street, Dudley, was jailed for 16 weeks suspended for 18 months, for stealing eight Parker pens and a book lamp, worth £193.91, from WH Smiths.
The defendant was also jailed for eight weeks concurrent suspended for 18 months and ordered to pay £9.99 compensation and £85 court costs, for stealing a pair of £9.99 boots from Store 21.
He was also jailed for eight weeks concurrent suspended for 18 months, for stealing a £400 battery bike.
The defendant was also jailed for eight weeks consecutive suspended for 18 months, for stealing a DVD player, worth £30 from B&M.


In court on January 31:

Mark Anthony Jackson, aged 43, of St Peters Road, Netherton, was fined £73 and ordered to pay £70 compensation for assaulting a police officer.
The defendant was also fined £73 and ordered to pay £70 compensation, £20 costs and £85 court costs for assaulting a police officer.

John David Parker, aged 26, of Bird Street, Lower Gornal, was handed a 12 month community order and ordered to pay £100 compensation, £60 costs and £85 court costs, for assault.

Zafar Iqbal, aged 38, of Highfields Road, Dudley, was jailed for 12 weeks consecutive, for stealing two bottles of Jack Daniels and a bottle of Bells whisky, worth £72, from Tesco.
The defendant was also jailed for 12 weeks, for stealing a DKNY cosmetic set from Boots.
