FIREFIGHTERS cut free an elderly lady following a car crash in Dudley today.

Two crews from Dudley Fire Station attended the incident at the junction of Fairview Road and Limepit Lane, which involved a collision between a white BMW X3 and a white Sazuki Swift.

Prior to the arrival of firefighters a male had exited the BMW, while a female had released herself from the Sazuki Swift.

Crews had to cut free a female pensioner from the Sazuki, who was then transferred to Russells Hall Hospital as a precautionary measure.

West Midlands Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service were also in attendance.
