SPORTY councillors and council workers will be stumping up cash for charity when they take part in an indoor cricket match on Saturday.
Representing Team DB, which was set up earlier in the year to help raise money for charity through sports activities, the staff and politicians will be competing at the former Pensnett High school site from 2pm.
Councillor Melvyn Mottram, Mayor of Dudley, said: “I am really pleased to see that council staff will again be giving up their own time to come and help raise money for charity.
"The sports events are always good fun and we hope to raise hundreds of pounds for charity through the kind contributions of those taking part on the day.”
Other activities set to be played this year include bowling, football, swimming, fishing and dragon boat racing.
All money raised from their efforts will go towards the Mayor’s charity of the year appeal, which is raising funds for Dudley Stroke Association and Diabetes UK - Stourbridge, Dudley and District Support Group.
