MAGISTRATES have handed a 21 year-old Dudley man a 12 month community order for stealing copper piping from a Coseley address.

Appearing in Dudley Magistrates on February 11, Joshua Lee Whittall, of Ripley Grove, was handed the community order as well as being ordered to pay £150 compensation, £60 costs and £85 court costs, for stealing the copper between January 16 and 19.

Also appearing in court on February 11:

Jaspal Singh Gill, aged 37, of Bristol Road, Netherton, was fined £105 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £80 costs, as well as being handed six licence penalty points, for speeding.

Justin Everton Notice, aged 19, of Mytton Close, Kates Hill, was fined £110 and ordered to pay £20 costs and £85 court costs, as well as being handed six licence penalty points, for driving without insurance.

The defendant was also fined £36 for driving a vehicle he was not licensed to drive.

Arron William James Oakley, aged 21, of Lawley Street, Dudley, was ordered to pay £60 costs and £85 court costs, for possessing a flick knife in a public place.

Leigh Anthony Mahon, aged 37, of Chilton Close, Lower Gornal, was handed a six month community order and ordered to pay £10.22 compensation and £60 court costs, for stealing two packs of meat from Co-op.

He was also handed a six month community order for stealing chicken and fillet steak, from Tesco Express.

Kain Houghton, aged 23, of Langstone Road, Dudley, was fined £140 and ordered to pay £20 costs and £80 costs, as well as being handed six licence penalty points, for driving without insurance.

Terry Kevin Craig Andrew Payne, aged 25, of Tenancy Street, Dudley, was handed a 12 month community order, for dishonestly undertaking or assisting in the retention, removal or disposal of a Bosch Hammer drill, a Silverline circular saw and a Silverline cordless drill.

In court on February 5:

Alexis Amina Killworth, aged 28, of Merryfield Road, Dudley, was jailed for four weeks forthwith consecutive to activation of a suspended sentence, for stealing £153 worth of clothing, from Matalan.

Sharon Joy Nicholls, aged 48, of High Street, Pensnett, was fined £150 and ordered to pay £20 costs and £85 court costs, as well as being disqualified from driving for 20 months, for driving while over the legal alcohol limit.

Samantha Brown, aged 33, of Kilburn Place, Netherton, was fined £600 and ordered to pay £60 costs and £80 court costs, for driving without insurance.

Anthony Clint John Parke, aged 26, of Cochrane Road, Dudley, was fined £75 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £85 court costs, for driving without insurance.

The defendant was also fined £75 and handed nine licence penalty points, for driving without due care and attention.

In court on February 6:

Leroy Anthony Parke, aged 34, of Cole Street, Netherton, was jailed for eight weeks suspended for 12 months, as well as being fined £85 and ordered to pay £350 compensation and £80 costs, for destroying a double glazed window.

The defendant was also jailed for four weeks consecutive the above, suspended for 12 months, for failing to surrender to custody.

Peter Jonathon Jackson, aged 37, of Vicarage Road, Upper Gornal, was handed a 12 month conditional discharge, for possessing cocaine.

The defendant was also handed a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £15 costs and £85 court costs, for possessing amphetamine.

Mark Thomas Thornsbury, aged 19, of Maughan Street, Dudley, was handed a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £30 compensation, £15 costs and £85 court costs, for stealing a television cabinet.

The defendant was also handed a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £20 compensation, for stealing five ornaments.

Richard JB Chilton, aged 39, of Bournbrook Close, Netherton, was handed a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £50 compensation, £15 costs and £85 court costs, for destroying a single glass panel window.

Paul Glear, aged 21, of Lodge Crescent, Dudley, was fined £60 and ordered to pay £15 costs, for stealing cigarettes from BP Snax Petrol Station.

In court on February 13: Adeel Khalid, aged 24, of Blackacre Road, Dudley, was jailed for ten weeks suspended for 12 months, ordered to pay £60 costs and £85 court costs, as well as being disqualified from driving for six months, for driving while disqualified.

In court on February 14:

Ryan Charles Chilton, aged 43, of Bosworth Close, Sedgley, was handed a six month community order and ordered to pay £1,185.45 compensation, £60 costs and £85 court costs, for causing £1,000 damage to a Ford Focus.

David Edward Littley, aged 21, of Grenville Road, Dudley, was handed a 12 month community order and ordered to pay £150 compensation, for damaging a front door. The defendant was also handed a 12 month community order and ordered to pay £150 compensation and £60 costs, for damaging a front door.

In court on February 15:

Margaret Ann Florence Glasby, aged 50, of Worcester Road, Dudley, was fined £235 and ordered to pay £23 costs and £85 court costs, as well as being disqualified from driving for 12 months, for driving while over the legal alcohol limit.

Jordan Edwards, aged 19, of Salop Street, Dudley, was handed a 12 month community order and ordered to pay £60 costs, £85 court costs, for possessing cannabis.

The defendant was also handed a 12 month community order, for possessing crack cocaine. He was also handed a 12 month community order, for possessing diamorphine.

Dean John Smith, aged 43, of Mulberry Green, Dudley, was jailed for 16 weeks suspended for 12 months, as well as being ordered to pay £250 compensation, for assault.
