£3k charge for flouting order

A DUDLEY man has been ordered to pay almost £3,000 after breaching an enforcement notice issued by Dudley Council ordering him to return a building to its previous appearance.
Abdul Wakil Janjua, of Wolverhampton Street, was fined £1,000 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £1,926.10 costs, for breaching the order received November, 3 2010, requiring the defendant to remove three roller shutter doors on the front of the property, the dormer windows as well as the external staircase on the rear of the building before August 30, 2011.
Also in court on February 21:
Steven Kendrick, aged 28, of Dudley Road, Brierley Hill, was jailed for 20 weeks suspended for 24 months, handed a two-year restraining order and ordered to pay £500 compensation, £80 costs and £85 court costs, for assault.
Jason Michael Porter, aged 44, of Vicarage Prospect, Dudley, was fined £50 for failing to notify a change of circumstance with regard to Council Tax benefit entitlement.
The defendant was also fined £50 and ordered to pay £15 costs, for failing to notify a change of circumstance with regard to Housing benefit entitlement.
In court on February 18:
Lee Walker-Wright, aged 51, of Peak Drive, Lower Gornal, was jailed for eight weeks suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £80 costs and £85 court costs, for stealing a £279 Dyson vacuum from Tesco.
Shaun Michael Cooper, aged 45, of Tiled House Lane, Pensnett, was fined £110 and ordered to pay £20 costs and £85 court costs as well as being disqualified from driving for 40 months, for driving over the legal alcohol limit.
Habib Rashid, aged 24, of Griffin Street, Netherton, was fined £37 for driving a vehicle he was not licensed to drive.
The defendant was also fined £110 and ordered to pay £20 costs and £80 costs, as well as being handed six licence penalty points, for driving without insurance.
Dean Trevor Hill, aged 31, of Milking Bank, Dudley, was jailed for 28 days, for attempting to steal Lynx deodorant.
Darren K Edwards, aged 34, of Kilburn Place, Netherton, was fined £83 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £150 court costs, as well as being handed five licence penalty points, for failing to report an accident.

Robert Mark Bate, aged 44, of Stourbridge Road, Brierley Hill, was handed a 12-month community order and ordered to pay £60 costs, for failing to provide a sample.
Sohail Choudhary, aged 37, of Nith Place, Dudley, was fined £150 and ordered to pay £300 court costs, as well as being disqualified from driving for 20 months, for driving while over the legal alcohol limit.
Paul Jones, aged 32, of Stokesay Rise, Dudley, was fined £500 and ordered to pay £50 costs and £85 court costs, as well as being disqualified from driving for 16 months, for driving while over the legal alcohol limit.
David Anthony Price, aged 24, of Dudley Street, Dudley, was fined £150 and ordered to pay £20 costs and £80 costs, as well as being disqualified from driving for six months, for driving without insurance.
In court on February 22:
Sean Michael James O’Donnell, aged 24, of Edward Street, Dudley, was handed a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £100 compensation, £15 costs and £85 court costs, for destroying a door.
The defendant was also handed a 12- month conditional discharge for possessing cannabis.
Dean Groom, aged 19, of Cross Lane, Sedgley, was fined £70 for possessing cannabis.
The defendant was also fined £110 and ordered to pay £20 costs, for failing to surrender to custody.
Richie Jackson, aged 21, of Lauder Close, Sedgley, was jailed for four weeks suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £80 cost and £85 court costs, for stealing three Yankee candles.
