Woman rescued from Lower Gornal house fire

A WOMAN has been taken to hospital following a fire at a Lower Gornal house last night.
West Midlands Fire Service was called to the semi-detached property in Edenbridge View at 2.26am with crews from Dudley, Brierley Hill and Tipton attending the scene.
The fire was discovered in the ground floor of the two-storey property, which was 10 per cent damaged by fire and fully smoke logged.
Fire fighters used breathing apparatus and hose reel jets to put out the flames and rescue one female from the house.
The lady was assessed at the scene before being taken to hospital for futher treatment.
