THE newly rebranded Quarry Bank Musical Theatre Company is holding open auditions for its forthcoming production of Little Shop of Horrors.

The company (formerly Quarry Bank Operatic Society) is gearing up to stage the fun-packed musical at Netherton Arts Centre, Northfield Road, Netherton, from September 25 to 28.

Based on the classic 1986 film starring Rick Moranis and Steve Martin, the show follows a nerdish florist who finds success and romance with the help of a giant man-eating plant with an insatiable appetite.

Seasoned Black Country performer turned director Steve Humpherson with be at the helm of the production, with musical direction from Richard Ganner.

Casting for the main roles, however, has yet to take place.

And to help bring new talent into the company, which has been going for more than 50 years, open auditions will be held on Saturday April 27 at Birch Coppice Methodist Church, Coppice Lane, Quarry Bank.

Singers, dancers and actors from across the borough are invited to try out.
