Uncover the secrets of Clent Hills this autumn
3:00pm Friday 20th September 2013 in Local
WALKERS are invited to explore the secrets of Clent Hills this autumn.
To mark the National Trust’s annual walking festival, Great British Walk, there will be two opportunities to join a guided trail through the hills on October 9 and 27 from 10am-1pm.
Those who choose to don their walking shoes can take in glorious views, find out who lived in the old warden’s cottage and where residents held the Victorian fair on a hot summers day.
The relaxed six mile ramble will cost £2 and dogs are welcome.
Beccy Speight, director of the National Trust in the Midlands, said: “Walking appeals to people for so many different reasons; fresh air, scenery, time to think, exercise.
“For me, exploring a place on foot deepens my sense of connection with the landscape and its past and now is the perfect time to get out and explore our places’ secrets.”
To book a place, call 01562 712822.
