DUDLEY Zoological Gardens will be showcasing its Antipodean residents this weekend as staff at the 400-acre site celebrate Australia Day (Sunday January 26).
Visitors to the Castle Hill tourist attraction will be transported Down Under through a series of talks about some of the zoo’s more unusual creatures from Oz including a bearded dragon, Macleays spectre stick insects, blue-tongued skink and chestnut teals, kangaroos, wallabies and kookaburras.
Presenter, Pam Midwood, said: “We have quite a variety of native Australian species at DZG, including a few surprises that people often don’t consider to be from that part of the world.”
