FIREFIGHTERS cut a driver free from a car after a crash in Dudley yesterday (Wednesday February 5).

Crews from Dudley and Brierley Hill were called to the scene of a collision involving two private motor vehicles at a junction on Cook Avenue at 9.31am.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “The driver of the first vehicle was out on arrival, the driver of the second vehicle was treated for suspected c-spine injuries.

“Crews did carry out a roof removal and the casualty was extricated using a long board and taken to hospital. The vehicles were made safe.”
