AN elderly man has been taken to hospital after suffering a head injury following a collision with a bus in Dudley.
The incident, involving a male pedestrian in his seventies, happened in King Street just before 1.15pm today (Monday March 24).
An air ambulance was dispatched to the scene but the patient was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham by land.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The pedestrian had an isolated serious head injury and tenderness to his abdomen. His condition was stabilised at the scene. He was also anaesthetised at the scene and his airway maintained."
King Street, Hall Street and Fisher Street remain closed this afternoon while police carry out an investigation.
