A PENSIONER who died after he was hit by a bus in Dudley has been formally named as Michael Wilkinson.
The 69-year-old was struck by a bus on Flood Street near to the junction of King Street just before 1.20pm on Monday March 24.
Mr Wilkinson suffered serious head injuries and he was taken to hospital for treatment, he died with his family at his side just after 9am the following day.
Officers from West Midlands Police's Collision Investigation Unit are now investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Pc Paul Cope said: "We are working hard to understand the events of the afternoon and I would urge anyone who was in the area at the time and who has not yet spoken to us to call 101.
"Our thoughts are with Michael’s family and are continuing to support them at this sad time."
