Before the courts

The following appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court between March 24-28:

Mark O’Sullivan, aged 43, of Belbroughton Road, Halesowen, was fined £40 for speeding on Manor Way, Halesowen, on April 27. He was given three penalty points and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20.

Jason Thomas Billingham, aged 26, of Overend Road, Cradley Heath, was given an eight week community order, for stealing a computer game, worth £39.99, from Gamestation, Dudley, on December 14. He was given an eight week curfew and for the duration must stay at his home address between 9pm and 7am. He was ordered to pay compensation of £39.99, a victim surcharge of £60 and £250 court costs.

Blake Pattison, aged 22, of Ivanhoe Street, Dudley, was fined £50 for damaging drug testing kits and mattresses by blocking the cell toilet and flooding the corridor at Brierley Hill Police Station on March 23. He was ordered to pay £100 compensation, a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

Frazer Cockle, aged 28, of Murcroft Road, Stourbridge, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for being drunk and disorderly and assaulting a police officer in Stourbridge on March 8. He was ordered to pay compensation of £25 and £85 court costs.

Simon Leslie Hardwick, aged 50, of Thorns Avenue, Brierley Hill, was discharged conditionally for 18 months for causing £300 worth of damage to a car in Brierley Hill on January 3. He was ordered to pay compensation of £400 and £85 court costs. Glenn Wagstaffe, aged 24, of Worcester Road, Clent, was fined £100 for drink driving in Stourbridge on January 12. When tested, he had 110mlgs of alcohol in 100mls of blood. The legal limit is 80mlgs. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

Daniel Lee Griffiths, aged 35, of Norfolk Road, Wollaston, was sent to prison for 22 weeks for assaulting two people in Stourbridge on August 5. One of the offences was racially aggravated.

Jason Stephen Bailey, aged 33, of Islington, Halesowen, was sent to prison for 20 weeks for stealing joints of meat, worth £25, from Asda, Halesowen, on March 10, whilst subject to court orders.

Travis Evans, aged 18, of Penfields Road, Stourbridge, was given a 12 month community order for entering a garden shed in Stourbridge as a trespasser and stealing three mountain bikes, worth £838, on July 14. He was also sentenced for assaulting a woman in Stourbridge on October 19. He was ordered to pay compensation of £419, a victim surcharge of £60 and £100 court costs.

Scott Luke Page, aged 27, of Bowers Lane, Quarry Bank, was sent to prison for 18 weeks, suspended for 12 months, for assaulting a man in Brierley Hill on September 12. He was given a four month curfew and for the duration must stay at his home address between 2pm and 6am on Saturdays and Sundays. He was ordered to pay compensation of £200, a victim surcharge of £80 and £85 court costs.

Shaun Alan Peace, aged 19, of Witley Avenue, Halesowen, was sent to prison for 18 weeks, suspended for 24 months, for harassing a woman in Halesowen between August 30 and September 2, last year. He was given a two month curfew and for the duration must stay at his home address between 5pm and 5am. He was ordered to pay compensation of £250, a victim surcharge of £80 and £85 court costs.

Laura Caroline Alison Quinn, aged 29, of Stourbridge Road, Dudley, was sent to prison for six weeks, suspended for nine months, for stealing cosmetics, worth £31.97, from TK Maxx, Merry Hill, on February 15. She was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £80.

Jack James, aged 20, of Priory Road, Dudley, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for possessing cannabis in Dudley on March 13. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £85 court costs.

Thomas Lee Attwell, aged 22, of Thornberry Drive, Dudley, was fined £150 for assaulting a police officer in Dudley on December 5. He was ordered to pay compensation of £100 and £85 court costs.

Anthony Lee Hyde, aged 30, of Cypress Road, Kates Hill, was fined £50 for assaulting a woman in Stourbridge on December 10. He was ordered to pay compensation of £25, a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

Gary Davis, aged 50, of Corbyn Road, Russells Hall, was fined £250 for failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis in Brierley Hill on August 5. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £25 and £325 court costs.
