DUDLEY born photographer Amy Briscoe will have one of her pictures on display at the prestigious Sony World Photography Organisation Awards Exhibition which takes place in London next month.
Amy, who now runs a marketing and communications consultancy in North Wales, is hoping to wow visitors at the exhibition which invited snappers to put a fresh spin on the self portrait or selfie, and post their entries on Instagram tagging themselves using the hashtag #metroprintselfie.
Influenced by the photographer Tom Wood and the painter L S Lowry - Amy, who has dabbled in photography as a hobby for many years, is keeping her fingers crossed that her entry will put her in line for a top prize.
She said: "I have entered a few local competitions, but this is my first attempt at international level."
Originally from the Buffery area of Dudley, Amy attended Sledmere Primary School, Hillcrest School and Bishop Milner before going onto read linguistics at Bangor University.
The exhibition takes place at Somerset House and is open to the public from May 1 to 18.
