A BLACK Country venue owner is calling for musicians from the region to raise the roof and charity cash.
Mike Hamblett, from the Robin 2 in Bilston, is aiming to put together a line-up of talent with roots in the region for a show on the first national Black Country day, on Monday July 14.
He is calling for performers to donate their time and talents for a show with proceeds to be given to a charity from the region.
He said: “As a proud Black Country bloke born in St Luke’s Street, spent my childhood in my nan’s shop just around the corner in Hollybush Street, Cradley Heath, I really do think we have something to celebrate.”
Anyone wishing to take part should send their name, band name, phone number and a link to their web site, along with suggestions for a charity to benefit from the event, to music@therobin.co.uk
