SKATEBOARD and cycle fans will be in for a May bank holiday treat at Dudley’s Buffery Park fun day.

The park’s Friends and Residents group will be hosting a family fun day on Monday May 5 from 11am to 5pm.

The event will feature a purpose-built skateboard ramp and demonstrations by professional skateboarders while a cycle course at the event will also keep wheels turning at the show.

Friends group chairman, Stephen Briscoe, said: “Skateboarding is very popular around Dudley even though there are very little facilities around.

“We also believe that physical activity can be fun for all ages and this event is aimed at that. People will be able to come along and try out these things and then maybe take it forward by joining a group or a club.”

Other Buffery Park fun day attractions will include a climbing wall, zumba, tennis and gym taster sessions, birds of prey and DJ John Guest.
