BOROUGH residents are reminded they can cut their energy bills by taking part in the next big switch campaign.
Householders have until June 9 to register for the summer energy saving auction which offers the chance to secure a better tariff from suppliers.
It's the fourth auction that Dudley Council has been involved with. The first three saw around 2,500 households take part to see if they could switch and save.
The last auction took place in February when over 100 people chose to switch tariffs, saving an average £173 a year on their bills.
The next big switch auction, which takes place on June 10, is free to join and there is no obligation to switch as people may already be on the best tariff possible and not in line for a saving. The more people who register, the better the deal.
Once the auction has taken place, the successful energy companies will write to registrants with their offer.
Registration can take place online at www.dudley.gov.uk or by calling Dudley Council Plus on 0300 555 2345.
Anyone taking part will need to have details of their latest energy bill on hand to complete the registration process.
