HUGE crowds are expected at this year's Armed Forces Day which takes place next month at Himley Hall.

There will be fun and entertainment available for all ages on Sunday June 29 when organisers plan a great day out for the family.

Youngsters will be able to try their hand on a range of free activities including go-karting, a zip line, trampolines, fairground rides and an inflatable truck.

There will also be a parade of historic vehicles and a display from the popular youth marching band.

Formal celebrations start at 2.30pm with a performance from the Staffordshire Military Wives Choir and the D Day Darlings.

There will also be the presentation of the HM Armed Forces Veterans Badge to veterans living in the borough.

Anyone who believes they should be entitled to a badge should contact the Veterans UK helpline on 0808 1914218.

Veterans will need to have applied for and received their badges in order to have them presented on the day.
