A DOG owner is distraught after her pet was taken by two men posing as staff from a Black Country vets.
Police are appealing for help finding Blue, the grey Weimaraner, that was taken from Huntingtree Road, Halesowen, yesterday (Thursday).
After the owner had called what she believed to be Vets4Pets, after finding a number on the internet - two men driving a white van with the company name written on the side, came to collect him at around 1pm and take him to the Halesowen branch.
But later that afternoon when the owner popped into Vets4Pets on Stourbridge Road, to check on her dog, she found the vets had no record of Blue and do not offer a collection service for pets.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “The owner is extremely distressed by the loss of the dog, as he was a member of the family.
“Police are investigating this but also want to hear from members of the public who may hold vital information or know the whereabouts of the missing dog.”
Anyone with information should call Dudley police on 101.
