A BOROUGH charity that helps people with sight loss will be supporting the forthcoming Carers Week.
The Pocklington Trust Resource Centre, on Hagley Road, Oldswinford, will support the campaign by hosting a Djembe drumming session on Monday (June 9).
Visitors to the event, which runs from 10am to 4pm, will also be able to try their hand at bread making or enjoy a pamper session and afternoon tea.
Pat Hill, the centre’s carers support worker, said: “It’s vital that the work unpaid carers do is recognised and valued.
“We’re proud to be doing our bit to try and bring a varied programme and much-needed relaxation, which will not just be enjoyable but will bring many like-minded people together.”
Events are free to carers, with a small charge of £7 for non-carers if they want a mini pamper session.
