CIVIC dignitaries and veterans gathered to see the Armed Forces Flag raised in Dudley to honour military heroes.
Mayor of Dudley, Cllr Margaret Aston, led a ceremony in Coronation Gardens to raise the flag over the Council House today (June 23) to start a week of events ahead of Dudley’s Armed Forces Day show at Himley Hall on Sunday June 29.
Councillor Aston said: “We have a long and happy tradition of working with our armed forces, and our Armed Forces Day is one of our biggest and proudest events.
“The flag symbolises our commitment to remembering these brave individuals in the week leading up to our Armed Forces Day celebrations.”
