POLICE hunting missing Halesowen pensioner Cynthia Beamond have discovered a body at her home.

Officers made the grim discovery at her house in Juliet Road, Halesowen, yesterday (Sunday), although the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be Mrs Beamond.

The 80-year-old was last seen on Friday and police launched a search which has continued throughout the weekend.

A 23-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Det Supt, from West Midlands Police, Tim Bacon said: "Mrs Beamond's property has been searched by specialist officers in a bid to preserve as much evidence as possible.

"We continue to support Cynthia's family at this time and they have been kept fully updated of these developments."

Police are appealing for information as to the whereabouts of Mrs Beamond's car, a silver Vauxhall Astra, registration T419 MDA.
