LABOUR’S top crime spokesman has launched his party’s Dudley campaign for the region’s Police and Crime Commissioner election.

Shadow Minister for Policing, Jack Dromey MP, along with candidate David Jamieson visited Brockmoor Community Centre to talk about neighbourhood policing.

Mr Dromey claimed police officers are overstretched due to government cuts and neighbourhood policing is “falling by the wayside”.

He added: “It will be a top priority for a Labour government and a Labour Police and Crime Commissioner to make sure that neighbourhood policing is not only protected, but strengthened.”
