Campaigners have been calling for a move for the war memorial from behind church railings
A WAR memorial in Sedgley is on the move after Dudley Council gave permission for its relocation to a more prominent position.
The memorial at Tabor Methodist Church, Sedgley Road, will be moved to nearby open space on land at the corner of Sedgley Road and Parkes Road.
The move will allow easier access for members of the public to congregate to pay their tributes, council planning officers added the move will also improve the appearance of the empty corner plot by providing a positive visual focal point.
