FAMILIES can enjoy a day of fun in Brierley Hill today (Sunday) while raising money for two good causes.

The charity summer fete, organised by Dudley Sports and Social Club, will start at 11am.

There will be plenty to keep youngsters busy at the Hillcrest Avenue venue, with loom bands, a bouncy castle and face paints.

Other activities include games, a raffle, tombola, cake stall, live entertainment from the Black Country Rebels and a karaoke and disco.

All funds raised will be split between the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and Alzheimer's Society.

Event organiser, Michelle Wyatt said the charities are close to her heart as she lost her grandmother, Mary Hudson, to Alzheimer's three years ago and her cousin's one-year-old daughter, Millie-Mai Aston, has cystic fibrosis.

Members of the sports and social club have already raised around £4,000 for the charities, through numerous events.
