PEOPLE looking to rent properties with two or more bedrooms are being urged to get in touch with Dudley Council’s housing services.
Following the introduction of welfare reforms the council now has a number of properties across the borough with two or more bedrooms which are available to rent.
Flats and maisonettes are available in the areas of Dudley, Stourbridge, Brierley Hill, Halesowen and Sedgley and rental is from as little as £69 per week, depending on the property type.
Councillor Gaye Partridge, cabinet member for housing and community safety, said: “Renting a flat directly from Dudley Council provides potential tenants with a cost saving opportunity, compared to some privately rented accommodation – which means these properties are ideal for anyone who maybe struggling financially.
“Tenants also have the assurance of knowing that repairs, maintenance and service charges are included in the rental.”
This scheme is not exclusive to Dudley borough residents.
Anyone interested in the scheme should email nowaithomes@dudley.gov.uk or call 01384 815100.
