DUDLEY Council has promised work to reopen an important town centre road will be completed by November.
A £650,000 scheme to improve King Street will see the creation of eight new parking spaces and better crossing facilities for pedestrians.
Councillor Khurshid Ahmed, Dudley cabinet member for transport, said: “The work will be complete at the end of November to enable businesses to build up to their Christmas trade.”
During the work, motorists wishing to gain access to Hall Street from Flood Street will diverted via Duncan Edward’s Way, the Castlegate roundabout and Trindle Road.
