The following appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court between September 1 and 5:

Ian Matthew Marsh, aged 45, of Hellier Street, Dudley, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for possessing cannabis in Dudley on August 19. He must pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £85 court costs.

Ian Mark Taylor, aged 32, of Ankerdine Court, Halesowen, was sent to prison for 12 weeks, suspended for 24 months, for committing fraud. Taylor made a false representation by taking out loans in various names and addresses, between January 10 and November 8 last year. He must carry out 120 hours unpaid work, pay compensation of £775, a victim surcharge of £80 and £85 court costs.

Chad Boyer Foley, aged 38, of Carlton Avenue, Wollescote, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for stealing fabric softener, worth £80, from Sainsbury’s, Wordsley, on February 15. He must pay compensation of £80, a victim surcharge of £15 and £85 court costs.

Michael David Preece, aged 28, of Dingle Street, Oldbury, was sent to prison for 12 weeks, suspended for 24 months, for assaulting a woman in Dudley on June 18. He was given a two month curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am Sunday to Friday and 9pm and 7am on Saturdays. He must pay compensation of £50, a victim surcharge of £80 and £85 court costs.

Ryan Henry, aged 30, of St John’s Street, Netherton, was sent to prison for 12 weeks, suspended for 12 months, for stealing an electric toothbrush, worth £49.99, from Wilkinsons, Dudley, on July 21 and a TV stand, worth £39.99, from B&M, Dudley, on August 14. He was given a 60 day curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am. He must pay compensation of £49.99, a victim surcharge of £80 and £85 court costs.

Carolyn Jane Whitworth, aged 34, of Standhill Road, Kingswinford, was given a six month community order for failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis during the course of an investigation into whether she had committed an offence. She was disqualified from driving for three years and must pay a victim surcharge of £60 and £85 court costs.

Luke Benjamin Davies, aged 20, of Grange Lane, Pedmore, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for assaulting a woman in Dudley on May 14. He must pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £85 court costs.

Claire Julie Harvey, aged 37, of Wilson Road, Brierley Hill, was discharged for 12 months, for damaging a glass window in Brierley Hill on August 3. She must pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £85 court costs.

Jason Lee Powell, aged 24, of Birch Terrace, Netherton, was fined £270 for drink driving, without insurance or MOT, in Dudley on August 4. When tested, he had 86mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

Ashley Bastable, aged 33, of Codsall Road, Cradley Heath, was given a 12 month community order for dishonestly undertaking or assisting in the retention, removal, disposal or realisation of stolen goods, in Stourbridge, between October 13, 2013 and January 16, 2014. He must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and pay a victim surcharge of £60 and £400 court costs.

Lee Andrew Jeavons, aged 34, of Chester Road, Netherton, was given a 12 month community order for dishonestly undertaking or assisting in the retention, removal, disposal or realisation of stolen goods, in Stourbridge, between October 13, 2013 and January 16, 2014. He must carry out 100 hours unpaid work and pay a victim surcharge of £60 and £400 court costs.

Moossa Sobratee, aged 65, of Salisbury Close, Dudley, was fined £250 for drink driving in Dudley on August 5. When tested, he had 71mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 17 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £25 and £85 court costs.

Nathan David Bell, aged 29, of Greenslade Road, Dudley, was given a four week community order for drink driving in Sedgley on August 15. When tested, he had 96mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was given a four week curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 6am. He was disqualified from driving for two years and must pay a victim surcharge of £60 and £85 court costs.

Gavin James Wheale, aged 37, of St Anne’s Road, Cradley Heath, was sent to prison for six months, suspended for 18 months, for stealing two multi metres, worth £80, from Maplins, Merry Hill, on June 26. He must pay a victim surcharge of £80 and £85 court costs.

Balachandran Thevapalan, aged 44, of Park Road, Stourbridge, was fined £300, for drink driving in Brierley Hill on July 30. When tested, he had 68mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 20 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £85 court costs.
