FRIENDS and colleagues of Black Country funnyman Tommy Mundon are planning a tribute to the much-loved entertainer by staging a special performance to salute his life while raising funds for Mary Stevens Hospice at the same time.

Reknown Black Country entertainers including Aynuk, Doug Parker, Dandy, Ken Wood and Maggie O'Hara have all agreed to feature at the event which takes place at Dudley Town Hall on February 17.

Money raised from the tribute will go to the Hospice which Tommy attended from April 2013 and received treatment until his death earlier this year.

Charlotte Schofield, who is lottery and special events manager for the Hospice said: " This is a real chance for people of the Black Country to come together and pay tribute to a true local legend who held a special place in his heart for Mary Stevens Hospice.

Tickets, which cost £12 per person, will go on sale at the end of the month and can be purchased by contacting 01384 377778.
