A DUDLEY soldier has been awarded with a medal by Prince Phillip.
Sergeant Adam Stott, aged 33, was given the accolade for long service and good conduct after 15 years in the Grenadier Guards.
His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, who has been the Colonel of Grenadier Guards for 40 years this month, presented Sergeant Stott with the medal at when he visited the Wellington Barracks in London.
The father-of-two, who has served in Canada and Kenya, seeing active service in Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan, said: "I've thoroughly enjoyed my time in the Grenadier Guards and there have been many highlights but receiving my medal from our Royal Colonel Prince Philip was a special honour."
