PARENTS can keep their little ones occupied with new play sessions for under 5s at Dudley Leisure Centre.

The term time Thursday morning sessions run from 10.30am to 12noon and include rhyme time with a play leader, free play time and healthy snacks.

Children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the session, which costs £2.50 including children’s snacks and a free drink for adults.

Youngsters can also enjoy the tiny tadpoles swimming sessions which are designed to help parents introduce their child to the water.

The one-hour water sessions run on Mondays at 12.30pm, Tuesdays at 10.45am and Thursdays at 9.30am.

Sessions cost £4 and children must be accompanied by an adult throughout.

John Millar, acting strategic director for environment, economy and housing at Dudley Council, said: “We want everyone to be physically active in Dudley borough and that’s why the ‘let’s get’ campaign promotes something for people of all ages and abilities.

“Research shows that being active early in life helps to establish and maintain good habits for life and that’s why I would encourage parents with children aged five and under to take advantage of these great sessions.
